Vodohospodarska Vystavba knows the name of the companies interested in the general overall of the hydropower plant Gabcikovo (VEG). The state-owned company opened the envelopes with the bids delivered by the candidates as part of the international tender on January 31. The company, however, states that the international tender for the general overhaul of the largest Slovak hydropower plant has not yet finished. “Bidders could submit their bids by the end of January and their assessment by the professional commission has just stared,“ the head of Director General’s Office Stela Istvanfyova informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. She has not specified the number of the bidders or the date of the announcement of the winner. “Our company will not provide any further information to maintain the transparency of the public procurement procedure,“ she stated.
