The company Transpetrol suspended oil imports until the situation is resolved and adequate measures aimed at changing the parameters of oil imports are adopted.
Slovakia’s oil transporter, the company Transpetrol, suspended poor quality oil imports via the Druzhba pipeline. Following the information from Ukrainian company Ukrtransnafta on oil imports with modified quality parameters at the pumping station Brody, the vice-chair of Transpetrol’s Board of Directors and the director for the operation and transport at the company Martin Ruzinsky informed the news agency SITA that the company Transpetrol had asked its clients to provide their stance on the situation. “After the company Slovnaft refused to accept oil of different quality, we immediately suspended oil imports between Slovakia and Ukraine,“ Ruzinsky said. In his words, oil imports will remain suspended until the situation is resolved and adequate measures aimed at changing the parameters of oil imports are adopted. “These steps are being consulted with all affected parties,“ Ruzinsky said.
