The project has reached two significant milestones – EIA and the important certificate for modification of compressor station in Velke Kapusany, which is a part of the Slovak-Polish gas pipeline, from the economy ministry.
Slovakia will witness the historic moment in the gas sector in three years when the country is connected to the Baltic Sea through a gas pipeline. The completion of the new Slovak-Polish gas pipeline is scheduled for the year 2019. At present, there are no signals for any delay to this project. „We do not expect any delay in launching commercial operation in 2019. The transport capacity will be 5.7 billion cubic meters of gas per year,“ a spokesman for the company Eustream, Pavol Kubik, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk.
