The state-owned central heating company Bratislavska Teplarenska was expected to pay more than 9 million euros to the company Paroplyn Holdings Limited at the beginning of the dispute.
The gas-steam cycle case has come to its end after more than 16 years. The state-owned central heating company Bratislavska Teplarenska has already paid the entire owed liabilities of approximately 33 million euros to Paroplyn Holdings Limited, which belongs to the portfolio of the financial group Penta. “After the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic ruled about the unlawfulness of the amendment to the Thermal Energy Act, we consider the entire dispute with Bratislavska Teplarenska to be closed. We were paid the due liability by Bratislavska Teplarenska,” Penta’s spokesman Gabriel Toth said. A spokeswoman for Bratislavska Teplarenska Jarmila Galandakova informed the news agency SITA that disputes Paroplyn Holdings Limited versus Bratislavska Teplarenska have come to an end. From the legal point of view, there are no legal steps left that could reverse the verdict of the courts.
