Vychodoslovenska Distribucna says that it will be necessary to optimize the structure of payments for using the energy infrastructure in the medium term.
Approximately a year ago, the so-called „circuit breaker“ scandal burst out in Slovakia. Consumers who failed to optimize the size of their circuit breakers received higher electricity bills despite a decline announced by the regulator for the year 2017. Eventually, electricity prices returned to the level of 2016 after an intervention of politicians and the Regulatory Office for Network Industries. However, a year later the company Vychodoslovenska Distribucna (VSD) still warns customers not to resign on exchanging their circuit breakers. „We realize that in the medium term, it will be necessary to optimize the structure of payments for using energy infrastructure given the distribution of costs related to customers‘ demands for capacity in the system, operation and maintenance of distribution system equipment, and supply points,“ a spokeswoman for VSD Andrea Danihelova informed the portal vEnergetike.sk.
