The gas pipeline passes through Presov and Kosice regions and Medzilaborce, Humenne and Michalovce districts.
The Slovak-Polish pipeline project is one step closer to its implementation. The repeatedly declared state help for this project has become reality. The economy ministry has issued a certificate to the Slovak-Polish pipeline on the conformity of the investment plan with the long-term energy policy. An investor cannot begin the construction of the energy resource or infrastructure without this certificate. The route of the the Slovak part will start at the state border at Łupków Pass in the territory which belongs to the village Palota. The route passes through Presov and Kosice regions and Medzilaborce, Humenne and Michalovce districts. The pipeline will finish at the compressor station Velke Kapusany. Companies Eustream and the Polish company Gaz-System are responsible for this project.
