Investments worth 795 million euros are aimed at construction and reconstruction of power lines and stations across Slovakia as well as construction of new international networks.
The company Slovenska Elektrizacna Prenosova Sustava (SEPS) plans to invest 795 million euros by the end of 2025. The investments are aimed at the construction and reconstruction of the power lines and stations across Slovakia, as well as the construction of new international connections. The Slovak operator of the transmission network plans to carry out 120 investments projects within ten years. „Among priorities for the next decade are the investment projects which will gradually replace decommissioned parts of the 220-kV power lines, change the remaining power stations from local and remote control to remote management and increase transmission ability of the existing Slovakia-Hungarian transmission profile,“ SEPS stated in its 10-year development plan for the transmission network.
