Heat, water and sewage prices for Slovak households will seen a moderate increase.
Slovak households will pay higher electricity bills next year, the chairman of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries Lubomir Jahnatek informed on Tuesday. He said that electricity prices would increase by 2.7 percent on average in 2018. He ascribes this increase to almost 20-percent increase in power electricity on the global exchanges and a consumption decline. Prices paid by small businessmen that are still regulated by the Office will increase by roughly 2 euros in 2018. Small households will also pay higher gas prices. Price proposals have been submitted only by four out of 25 active suppliers. A majority gas supplier for households, the state-owned company Slovensky Plynarensky Priemysel has not yet submitted new price proposals. The average gas price will increase by 0.38 percent in Slovakia.
