After two rounds of the state support for the purchase and installation of a small-scale renewable energy source, the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency registers nearly 1,000 unused vouchers.
Not all Slovak households had a serious interest in using the state support for the purchase and installation of a small-scale renewable energy source, stated the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) which is in charge of the project called Green to Households. After two rounds of this support scheme, the agency registers nearly 1,000 unused vouchers. „Despite a huge initial interest, the validity of most vouchers ended 30 days after being issued. Households have failed to hand out them to constructors within agreed deadline due to different reasons. Contractors have not made a reservation of them in the information system,“ director of communication and international cooperation department at the Agency, Eduard Jambor, informed. The agency has issued 4,699 vouchers in the first and second round worth over 10 million euros.
