Slovenske Elektrarne (SE) reported the EBITDA of 424 million euros in 2021, a 17-percent increase year-on-year. Director General of Slovenske Elektrarne Branislav Strycek stated in the annual report that the year-on-year change was favorably affected largely by the development of electricity prices influenced by the prices of the underlying commodities. „Compared to the year 2020, the electricity market has revived.The year-on-year changes had a positive effect on our active trading, as well as continuing efforts to optimize and improve cost-effectiveness,“ Strycek added.The net profit of the Slovak dominant electricity producer rose from 60 million euros in 2020 to 85 million euros in 2021. Last year, Slovenske Elektrarne generated the highest volume of electricity since 2017, up to 19,113 gigawatt-hours.
