Europe’s energy security can benefit from boosted Azeri gas exports. In this vein, Economy Minister Denisa Sakova discussed the possibilities of expanding production and subsequent export of gas from this region to Europe.

As the minister writes on a social network, she appreciates the responsible approach and support of Azerbaijan’s representatives in finding a solution for gas supplies to Europe via Ukraine from January 2025.

„The negotiations with Azeri Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov also focused on economic cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies, we specifically dealt with the digital municipality project, on which Slovak companies are already cooperating,“ Sakova added.

The two also discussed the upcoming Business Forum in Baku, which is also to be attended by Slovak entrepreneurs. High on the agenda of the talks was also the strengthening of the economic and diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan in Bratislava.
