The company Nafta plans the gradual liquidation of the long unused deposits in Gajary.
After almost thirty years, oil extraction in Gajary in western Slovakia is nearing its end. The company Nafta, which mined crude oil and gas in here, already plans the gradual liquidation of long unused deposits and the subsequent land rehabilitation. „We can state that the deposit Gajary-Baden is in the final stage of oil and gas extraction and the underground gas storage is its primary purpose,“ the company stated in the notice about the change of the proposed activity already submitted to the competent authorities.
