We are currently seeking the most optimal answer to all legal questions arising from this project, said European Commission’s vice-president for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic.
The European Commission (EC) is still looking for a solution that would satisfy EU countries complaining about the Russian gas pipeline project Nord Stream 2. European Commission’s vice-president for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic informed the news agency SITA that the most optimal solution for all EU members must be found. „This process is still ongoing at the EC level, as well as within talks with the representatives of the German regulator. We are currently seeking the most optimal answer to all legal questions arising from this project. We also want to ensure energy security will enhance for all member states, not weaken. This is the goal of the Energy Union,“ Sefcovic said.
