BRATISLAVA, September 30, (WEBNOVINY) — In spite of the planned austerity measures that will cut government spending next year, Prime Minister Iveta Radicova will have at her disposal EUR 1.66 million in 2011 as the prime minister’s reserve, which is the same amount as this year. The reserve of the deputy prime minister will not change, either, and remain EUR 1.06 million. Other expenditures of the Cabinet Office will be 10.1 percent lower than this year. The total budget of the Cabinet Office will be higher by EUR 36.8 million next year, or by 136 percent, due to increased volume for funding for flood prevention work by EUR 33.5 million and new competencies of the deputy prime minister for human rights and minorities, which will be covered with EUR 5.5 million. The Cabinet Office’s expenditures are budgeted at EUR 63.7 million in 2011, according to the draft budget presented by the Finance Ministry on Thursday.
