BRATISLAVA, December 11, (WEBNOVINY — Average old-age pension in Slovakia represented EUR 362 as of late November of this year. A total of 955,500 people in Slovakia received old-age pensions in the monitored period. Average early retirement pension, received by almost 33,600 beneficiaries, reached EUR 357.34 on average, according to figures released by Socialna Poistovna social security provider.
Disability pensions provided to persons with up to 70-percent impairment level stood at EUR 183.85 on average. People with impairment level above 70 percent got EUR 321.59 in late November. The social security provider registered 222,600 beneficiaries eligible to disability pensions.
Average widow’s pension equaled EUR 221.90 at the end of the eleventh month of this year. Socialna Poistovna paid out this assistance to 299,100 women. Average widower’s pension was EUR 169.78 paid to 37,800 beneficiaries. Orphan’s pension was paid out to almost 26,600 children, reaching EUR 125.48 on average.
Pensions in Slovakia should be raised by 3.3 percent as of 2012. Next year, pensions will most likely be valorized for the last time by an average of annual inflation and annual growth of the average wage for H1 of the previous year. As the Statistics Office reported, the average wage in H1 2011 grew 3 percent y/y, while consumer prices increased 3.6 percent in the observed period.
