BRATISLAVA, April 11, (WEBNOVINY) — Teachers and researchers from the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava will visit the Modern Technologies and Environment Management international conference at their partner school, Kabul Polytechnic University. The conference will take place from April 16 to April 19; its aims are supporting education and research in these fields in Afghanistan, increasing the awareness of available technologies and solutions among Afghan academic institutions and the expert public and contributing to the exchange of information and experience in the area of modern environment management.
Slovak Technical University is implementing the EURO-ASIA project partnership to support the development of personal capacities in engineering studies in Afghanistan since 2008. The goal is to build a partnership between European and Afghan universities and help improve the Afghan education system. Thanks to the project, talented Afghan students can attend conferences and seminars, but can also earn their master’s degree in Slovakia or at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. Afghan university professors visit foreign partner universities for two or three months a year in order to exchange their experience and improve expert knowledge, informed UNDP spokeswoman in Slovakia Zuzana Letkova.
