BRATISLAVA, July 26, (WEBNOVINY) — Slovak subsidiaries of European banks, which participated in stress tests, probably passed without problems, thinks governor of the National Bank of Slovakia Jozef Makuch, who met with Prime Minister Iveta Radicova on Monday. The central bank should have the data for Slovak subsidiaries of the tested banks available by around August 6. “We do not have the information yet, but we do not expect them to be bad,” stated the central bank’s governor.
Seven out of 91 tested banks did not pass the stress tests. The results were made public last Friday. No parent banks of subsidiaries operating in Slovakia were among the failed banks.
