BRATISLAVA, August 25, (WEBNOVINY) — The electronic toll collection operator SkyToll billed the National Highway Company an aliquot part of the annual price for its services amounting to about EUR 53.7 million for seven months of this year. SkyToll’s revenues, including recognized e-toll transactions, reached EUR 92.3 million ex-VAT last year. “E-toll transactions are invoiced once a year after being approved by an independent appraiser and the National Highway Company so the final price for 2011 will be summed in 2012,” said SkyToll’s Communication Strategy Manager Anton Bodis for SITA news agency.
Over the first six months of this year, NDS paid EUR 46 million within e-toll installments to SkyToll. The basic annual price of the payment for this year stands at about EUR 92 million, according to NDS. It is a valorized price determined in the contract on construction and operation of the e-toll collection system.
SkyToll opines that the e-toll system is set well and effectiveness of toll collection reaches almost 99-percent. “Collected monthly sums follow a progressive trend. The number of justified complaints is permanently low,“ Bodis further said. The situation is similar regarding toll-linked transgressions over the first six months of the year, he said.
The state wants to agree with SkyToll on postponement of a part of the installment for construction of the e-toll collection system from 2012 and 2013 to later years. This should facilitate preservation of a stable level of the NDS debt in upcoming years. Based on the draft public administration budget for 2012 – 2014, the payment for construction and operation of the e-toll system totaled EUR 106.88 million last year and should stand at EUR 105.51 million this year. For next three years, payments of EUR 89.43 million, EUR 94.66 million and EUR 90.47 million are planned.
