BRATISLAVA, August 5, (WEBNOVINY) — As many as 2,300 new jobs could be created based on four programs to support employment from the workroom of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family. Unemployed people could thus work on restoration of ruins of Slovak castles, as social assistants, or security staff in educating children from socially disadvantaged environment, in small and medium-sized businesses, or within professional foster care. This stems from a material that the Labor Ministry submitted for interdepartmental review. The pilot projects should be supported from the European Social Fund as well as the state budget. Of the total costs of EUR 20 million, the European Social Fund should contribute EUR 17 million and the state treasury EUR 3 million.

The project of cooperation in education should be supported with the highest sum of EUR 12.7 million and provide job opportunities to 2,100 people. The aim is to improve the education process of socially disadvantaged children. The security staff is to help protect teachers and other employees in particular schools as well as help prevent bullying among pupils. The work positions should be created already as of the start of the next school year.

Nearly 100 temporary work positions should be created in small and medium-sized businesses, which the Economy Ministry is to select based on a call. Fifty people should work on restoration of castle ruins of Uhrovec and Saris. Costs of the pilot project represent nearly EUR 196,000.

The fourth project concerning professional foster care is to provide new training to 4,100 employees of relevant institutions and help preserve 570 jobs of professional foster parents.
