BRATISLAVA, December 30, (WEBNOVINY) – KDH Chairman Jan Figel opines that liberal SaS has alienated itself from the other political parties and from cooperation with them only by their own fault. “They voted in an opposing way regarding several issues. Not differently – but in opposition, against KDH and related parties such as SDKU or MOST. Only SaS can reply to this alienation and profiling; or change it,” Figel told SITA.

According to Figel, there is a big risk in eventual cooperation with SaS and taking the developments after October 2011 into account, this is not only a risk for the KDH party but for the entire society. “We pay for instability and it’s not only the price of the early election which has its constant costs, but also the halted reforms and budget which could not have been better, even though we discussed it, mainly because we were unable to complete some essential reforms,” said Figel. On the other hand, the coalition achieved many things they considered core and healing for the country in a year and a half. “I say this so that it’s not perceived only in black and white because of one event which toppled the government and also brought an early election; but also because of the period which brought more transparency and important and much needed changes. And that was also thanks to SaS,” enclosed Figel.
