BRATISLAVA, August 26, (WEBNOVINY) — The trend of slowing growth of industrial producer prices in Slovakia continued in July. According to the Statistics Office, in total industrial prices in July increased year-on-year by 3.3 percent compared to 4.6 percent in June. This has meant the fourth consecutive slowdown and the average price growth in industry for the first seven months of this year slowed from the six-month average by 0.2 percentage points to 5 percent. Industrial prices fell month-on-month in July compared with June by 0.5 percent.
Industrial producer prices for the domestic market grew year-on-year in July by 2.1 percent, while their growth in June was 2.5 percent. Prices of industrial production grew by 4.4 percent, of water supply, wastewater treatment, and waste management by 4.8 percent, in mining and quarrying by 2.8 percent. Producer prices of electricity, gas, steam and cooled air grew by 1 percent. On a monthly basis, industrial producer prices for the domestic market increased slightly by 0.1 percent.
Industrial producer prices for export this July compared with July 2010 increased by 4.3 percent, prices of mining and quarrying by 11 percent, manufacturing by 4.4 percent and electricity, gas, steam and cooled air by 1.3 percent. In a monthly comparison, industrial producer prices for export decreased by 0.8 percent.
