BRATISLAVA, May 6, (WEBNOVINY) — Government’s privatization agency the National Property Fund (FNM) received last year EUR 544.2 million in dividends from ten companies in which it holds equity stakes. The agency stated in its annual report that the highest volume came from energy companies. Dividends from the gas utility company Slovensky plynarensky priemysel, a.s., electricity transmission system operator Slovenska elektrizacna prenosova sustava, a.s., regional power distributors Zapadoslovenska energetika, a.s., Stredoslovenska energetika, a.s., Vychodoslovenska energetika, a.s. and telecommunications company Slovak Telekom, a.s. represented EUR 543 million. This represents more than 99.78 percent of the whole amount of dividends, which the FNM received last year.
FNM posted overall revenues of EUR 888.6 million last year, with balances carried over from the previous periods representing close to 40 percent of the overall volume of sources. Dividends contributed most to the revenues, namely 61 percent. In line with the Cabinet’s decision, the revenues were transferred to accounts of state financial assets, the fund added.
Last year’s expenditures amounted to nearly EUR 634 million, with EUR 612 million in transfers to accounts of state financial assets. The agency employed 53 people at the end of last year, down 37 from a year ago.
The government established the FNM in 1991 with the purpose of privatization of state property.
