KOSICE, December 10, (WEBNOVINY)- The working congress of the strongest opposition party in Slovakia, SMER-SD of Robert Fico in Kosice on Saturday has approved a resolution and program highlights for the 2012-2016 election period and the election message ‚People Deserve Certainties‘.
Fico and other senior representatives of the party told journalists that SMER-SD wants to play a decisive role in forming a new cabinet after early elections. „I am calling on delegates to mobilize not only members but also the wide public. We have to come to polling stations by walking. It is not enough that people perceive us positively, they have to come to ballot boxes,“ said Fico. He said that their ambition is a better election outcome than in 2010 when they won 880,000 votes while they want to approach a magic limit, which Fico did not specify. Fico said that they would form a coalition only with a clearly profiled and comprehensible party specifying that only three parties meet the criteria- KDH, SDKU-DS and MOST-HID.
In March, people will have an easy choice, believes Fico. „They can opt again for a rightist conglomerate or they will choose stability, experiences and mainly certainties presented by SMER-SD. People deserve them,” stated Fico.
