Counties Opened 5,400 Jobs with State's Support in 2010

BRATISLAVA, March 21, (WEBNOVINY) – As of late 2010, nearly 5,400 new jobs were created thanks to the contribution to support regional and local employment, which the previous government introduced as of the beginning of March of last year. Labor Offices pay the contribution to municipalities and counties which hire a disadvantaged jobseeker for a certain period of time. The state paid over EUR 18 million for the contribution over ten months of last year. This stems from data disclosed by the Central Office for Labor, Social Affairs and Family.

The highest number of jobs was created in Presov and Kosice Counties, namely more than 1,100 and almost 1,000, respectively. The least jobs were created in Bratislava (121) and Trencin (547) Counties.

The work contract has to last at least nine months in the extent of no less than a half of standard weekly working time.
