Bratislava Stock Exchange Gained 2.3 Points Last Week

BRATISLAVA, March 27, (WEBNOVINY) — The Bratislava Stock Exchange firmed 2.3 points w/w to 243.87 points over past week. The shares of the crude oil refiner Slovnaft posted the sharpest price growth of all SAX base titles, of 3.75 percent to EUR 55. Also the price of VUB Banka shares went up from the previous week, by 2.19 percent to EU 93.5.

In the contrary, shares of the power engineering company SES Tlmace decreased 7.14 percent to EUR 13 while the share price of the company Tatry Mountain Resorts modestly dropped by 0.1 percent to EUR 41.6. The value of pharmaceutical company Biotika shares remained at the unchanged EUR 19. Shares of OTP Banka Slovensko stagnated at EUR 4 at the week’s close. Neither the value of shares of Best Hotel Properties changed from the previous week remaining at EUR 11.18 apiece.

The value of the SAX index weakened at the start of the week by 0.71 points. On Tuesday, SAX gained 0.99 points and additional 0.15 points midweek. SAX weakened on Thursday again, by 0.28 points and boosted at the end of the week by 2.15 points, to close the week at 243.87 points.

Overall traded volume on the Stock Exchange in Bratislava last week reached 1.3 billion euro, with anonymous trades amounting to 1.2 million euro and share trading to 785,700 euro. A week ago, the traded volume reached 192.7 million euro, whereas anonymous transactions accounted for 1.7 million euro and share trading made up 716,000.
