BRATISLAVA/SOBRANCE, October 28, (WEBNOVINY) — Twenty-two foreigners, some of them probably human traffickers, were captured by the border police in eastern Slovakia this Wednesday. Early in the morning the police patrol detained two Moldovan refugees in the village of Ubla in the Snina District. After Ukraine confirmed a violation of the border, both Moldovans were returned to Ukraine within the framework of the readmission treaty. A Ukrainian already expelled from Slovakia once was caught in the afternoon between the villages Priekopa and Vojnatina in Sobrance District. The case is being investigated as the suspect might be obstructing execution of a judicial decision. Shortly afterward, patrols detained six Afghans, one Iranian and one citizen of Bangladesh near the village of Inovce (Sobrance District). The foreigners are at the Border Police Department at the moment, informed the spokeswoman of Border Police Directorate in Sobrance Agnesa Kopernicka. Another three minors from Somalia, five Afghans and three Ukrainians, probably traffickers, were detained in near the Prislop village in Snina District. The National Unit to Counter Illegal Immigration investigates the case, as the Ukrainians are suspected of human trafficking.
