Slovenske Elektrarne wants to ship nuclear fuel to the third nuclear block in Mochovce at the turn of the year 2016/2017.
The power utility Slovenske Elektrarne is finishing the completion of the third nuclear block at Mochovce NPP. While at the end of the year, the nuclear block was completed to 80%, currently it is more than 90%. Slovakia’s dominant electricity producer controlled by Italian Enel, state, and the third shareholder Energeticky a Pumyslovy Holding (which is currently entering the company) want to ship nuclear fuel to the third nuclear block at the turn of the year 2016/2017. Slovenske Elektrarne has also achieved progress in completing the fourth nuclear block. According to the information published by Slovenske Elektrarne, the fourth block has been completed to almost 73% while it was around 60 % at the end of last year. This block is set to be put into operation a year after successful completion of the third block.
