SIS monitored also persisting risks related to the completion of large power projects co-financed by the state.
The Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) monitored also the power sector last year. The state secret service detected an uneconomical handling of the property in the ownership of the state or municipality. “The information obtained by SIS last year indicated the violation of the economic interests of the Slovak Republic by some state-owned companies. The risks related to the completion of large power projects co-financed by the state were closely monitored,“ SIS stated in its report. SIS keeps the track of security risks that could jeopardize the operation or the construction of the power plants and distribution networks in regard to the traditional and nuclear production and distribution of electricity. “The threat of cyber attacks on the power grid could jeopardize electricity deliveries to consumers also in Slovakia,“ SIS warned.
