Gazprom assured the Slovak natural gas carrier that Slovak and Czech transmission networks will be used in a long run even if Nord Stream 2 project is implemented.
The Russian gas giant Gazprom promised the Slovak natural gas carrier Eustream that the Slovak gas pipeline will be used for gas supplies to Europe as part of the Nord Stream 2 project. “We talked with the representatives of Gazprom on potential impacts of the Nord Stream 2 project on natural gas flows across the central corridor and central Europe. We appreciate the assurance from Gazprom that the Slovak and Czech transmission networks will be used in a long term even if the gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 is built,“ informed a spokesman for Eustream, Pavol Kubik. The entrance point from Ukraine to Slovakia should maintain in full operation even if the Nord Stream 2 is implemented.
