BRATISLAVA, September 25, (WEBNOVINY) – The value of the share index SAX of Bratislava Stock Exchange grew last week to 225.63 points w-w when it gained 3.44 points. Of the SAX base titles, the share price of the Bratislava-based refiner Slovnaft increased the most, 7.84 percent to EUR 55. The price of pharmaceuticals maker Biotika shares grew 1.37 percent to 23.01 euros.
In contrast, shares of Tatry Mountain Resorts lost 0.59 percent in a w/w comparison and their price dropped to EUR 41.85. Also the price of Best Hotel Properties shares went down, by 0.27 percent to EUR 11.04. Shares of VUB Banka weakened 0.12 percent over a week to EUR 81. Shares of the power engineering company SES Tlmace shares recorded a drop as well, going down 0.1 percent to EUR 10.12.
At the week’s beginning the SAX index weakened 1.69 points. On Tuesday it firmed 3.42 points to lose 0.94 percent midweek. On Thursday, the index of the Bratislava exchange strengthened 0.63 points and gained a further 2.01 points at the week’s close. The SAX thus closed the week at 225.63 points.
Overall traded volume on the Bratislava Stock Exchange amounted to EUR 179.4 million over four trading days. Thereof, anonymous transactions accounted for EUR 15 million with share transactions worth nearly EUR 668,200. A week ago, the traded volume represented EUR 73 million, with anonymous transactions worth EUR 732,000 and share trading in the volume of nearly EUR 16 million.
