The ministry further states that “this step, for which protesters in Cairo and other Egyptian cities were calling during the eighteen days of protests, has opened a prospect of fundamental democratic changes for the people of Egypt”. The ministry believes that “a wide dialogue between representatives of the Egyptian people and structures of state power will be led in a constructive and peaceful atmosphere and its results will be a shift to democracy, respect of human rights and preparation of free elections,” the ministry adds in the statement, provided to SITA news agency by its press department.
