BRATISLAVA, May 2, (WEBNOVINY) — Opposition SNS Chairman Jan Slota said on Monday that Prime Minister Iveta Radicova is willing to examine his suspicions against Police President Jaroslav Spisiak. “I appreciate that the prime minister agreed to meet me at short notice and I also appreciate her willingness to deal with this important issue. I have given her concrete records which have to be examined, both written and electronic. Ms. Radicova promised that she would deal with them and summon the police president to explain these records to her,” Slota told SITA Monday after meeting Radicova. He believes that things will finally start to unravel, as “a person with such a past, as our records indicate, should not be police president.”

Last Friday, Jan Slota asked Prime Minister Radicova to meet him over the fact that neither the inspection authorities nor the Ministry of Interior have taken any action in the case of Police President Jaroslav Spisiak, which the SNS has been seeking to expose for a month. Slota claims to have specific and well-founded information from various policemen. Slota already accused Spisiak of harming the police corps and preventing them from fulfilling their tasks. He also said that Spisiak had problems getting security clearance due to suspicions of having contacts with gangs.
