Radio Expres Remains Most Popular Radio Station

BRATISLAVA, May 17, (WEBNOVINY) — The most listened-to radio station in Slovakia is still Radio Expres, as show results of the latest survey conducted by the agency MEDIAN SK from January 31 to April 24 of this year on a sample of 3,613 respondents aged 14 to 79. The survey covered 47 radio stations.

The total listener rate was 72.7 percent according to data collected in response to the question of which radio station the respondent listened to yesterday. According to this parameter, Radio Expres was the most listened-to radio station with 19.3 percent, followed by the public service Radio Slovensko with 16.4 percent and the private Fun Radio with 13.2 percent. Jemne Melodie came next with 8.5 percent. Radio Regina placed fifth with 7 percent.

When it comes to the category involving listening to the radio last week, the total listener rate was 91.4 percent. The ranking on the first three spots did not change. Radio Expres topped the chart with 32.7 percent, Radio Slovensko was second with 27.2 percent and Fun Radio occupied the third spot with 23.6 percent. Jemne Melodie was fourth with 17.2 percent and RADIONET followed with 15.6 percent. Radio Regina came in sixth with 14.2 percent. Next was Radio Europa 2 with 12.2 percent.

Between February and April, Radio Expres had the largest share on the market of 23 percent. Radio Slovensko was next with 18.7 percent and Fun Radio third with 14.2 percent. The market share of Jemne Melodie represented 9 percent. Regina ranked fifth with a share of 8.1 percent. Radio Europa 2 came in sixth with 7.2 percent, next was Radio Viva with 6.7 percent.
