BRATISLAVA/TREBISOV, January 11, (WEBNOVINY) — According to police reports, more than 100 tons of iron castings „disappeared“ from open high-wall freight cars of a freight train coming from the Russian Federation to the railway station in Cierna nad Tisou in the Trebisov district. Spokesman for Kosice Police Corps Alexander Szabo told SITA news agency that a company from Dolny Kubin suffered damages exceeding 42,800 euros. Police started criminal prosecution for theft. Police are searching for the offenders. If they are found and tried in court, they can be sentenced for this deed for a prison term between three and ten years.
