BRATISLAVA, March 9, (WEBNOVINY) — The Finance Ministry has approved two national Society Informatization projects valued at over EUR 22 million. At the same time, it opened a 14-million-euro call for a third project. The selection commission for projects in the first priority axis of the Society Informatization Operational Program (OPIS) focused on electronization of public administration and development of electronic services approved requests for non-refundable financial contributions for projects related to electronization of services at the Office of the Prosecutor General (EUR 13.5 million) and electronization of services at the Economy Ministry (EUR 8.6 million). Public procurements for these projects can start after the Finance Ministry and the two latter entities sign the respective contracts.
Following the project implementation the Office of the Prosecutor General will be able to issue electronic extracts of criminal records. The system of the authority will be connected to selected judiciary systems in the EU states.
The Economy Ministry will build a shared service center based on cloud technology, which will then provide for electronization of services at the ministry, the Slovak Agency for Investment and Trade Development (SARIO) and the National Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises.
The Finance Ministry simultaneously issued a call for another OPIS project related to electronization of services provided by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
