Contribution Bonus Project is 2011 Highlight Topic for SaS

BRATISLAVA, January 3, (WEBNOVINY) — For the liberal junior member of the ruling coalition, the SaS party, the highlight topic in year of 2011 will be reform of payroll levies, the so-called Contribution Bonus. “The work is in process and it goes on rather quietly. No one writes about it, which is good, we can work in peace. But until the end of this year all preparations and implementation steps should be made, so that the super gross wage and a single assessment base could be effective from January 1, 2012, and so that annual reconciliation would enter into force,” said the SaS Chairman Richard Sulik in an interview for SITA news agency. The introduction of the super gross wage will influence some 1,000 paragraphs in various laws.

Successfully preparing the project of the Contribution Bonus is a great pile of work, for which no one will be praised and no one will write about it in the media, Sulik says. Once it is successful, he will be greatly satisfied. “This is my personal objective for this year. Many people will feel the Contribution Bonus in their higher incomes, in their wallets,” Sulik adds.

The Contribution Bonus – a reform of the tax and payroll levies system, together with changes in the social benefits system – was one of the SaS priorities in the 2010 parliamentary elections.
