Austria and Germany Seek Mainly University Graduates in Slov

BRATISLAVA, April 10, (WEBNOVINY) – Technicians and managers are wanted in Austria, while Germany needs also blue-collar workers and staff for the service sector, reports the Internet portal profesia.sk based on published job offers in connection with the opening of the labor markets in both countries as of May 1 of this year. Both countries offer most jobs to people with an academic degree. The number of openings for people with elementary education is minimum. Most work opportunities are offered in IT, tourism, health care, and social services, informed Lucia Burianova, PR manager of the employment portal.

Based on information from job seekers’ CVs published on the portal, more men are interested in working abroad than women. Job applicants who want to work in Austria and Germany are interested in particular in work in transportation, logistics, tourism, or as auxiliary staff. The demand for work in the two countries, however, does not copy the demand. Most job applicants have only secondary education, while only one in ten has a university degree.
