The amendment proposed by the opposition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) laid down an obligation for the regulator to publish all its pricing decision for monopolies in power energy, gas, heat and water sectors on its website.
MPs rejected the changes proposed by MPs for Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) Karol Galek and Jana Kissova in the Act on Regulation in Network Industries already in the first reading. They wanted to unveil pricing procedures of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries that set prices for energy monopolies. The opposition party wanted to increase transparency and public control over the pricing regulation of monopolies in power energy, gas, heat and water sectors. The amendment proposed by the opposition laid down an obligation for the regulator to publish all its pricing decisions for monopolies in power energy, gas, heat and water sectors on its website. In relation to the natural monopolies and other regulated entities performing under general economic interest, the opposition MPs proposed an obligation for the regulator to publish also pricing proposals and their changes and amendments and other documents based on which the regulator sets the price, if the regulated entity was not cooperative in the pricing procedure, team leader of SaS for energy sector Karol Galek explained.
