The European Investment Bank provided the Slovak natural gas carrier Eustream with a €70 million loan.
The Slovak natural gas transporter Eustream will obtain a €70 million loan from the European Investment Bank for the Slovak-Polish gas pipeline. „The strategic gas infrastructure project that we have signed will contribute to the energy independence of Slovakia and entire central Europe,“ said Vice-President of the EIB Vazil Hudak when signing a contract with the company Eustream. „We perceive this contract very positively since it proves that our project is of the European significance. We have received advantageous funding from a highly respected partner. The loan from EIB will help us to implement the project successfully. This is not the good news only for Slovakia and Poland, but for the entire region,“ added Eustream’s Director General Rastislav Nukovic.
