BRATISLAVA / SNINA, July 29, (WEBNOVINY) — Slovak border security officers detained a group of illegal migrants, five Georgians and two Chechens in the Snina district on Thursday. Three of the Georgians were found near the state border in the direction to the village Ubla shortly after Ukrainian border guards informed their Slovak colleagues about a breach at the state border. The other four foreigners were detained during a border check of a passenger car with Austrian license plates shortly after another car with an Austrian crew was checked. It appears that the Austrian passengers were human traffickers, the spokesperson for the border security directorate in the town of Sobrance, Agnesa Kopernicka, informed SITA. Border security is searching for the vehicle and its crew. A possible jail term for human trafficking is five to ten years in Slovakia.
