BRATISLAVA, March 5, (QWEBNOVINY)- An annex to the Coalition Treaty might guarantee the parliamentary majority of the ruling coalition in the future. Prime Minister Iveta Radicova admitted its opening in a regular Saturday Dialogues program on Slovak Radio. “The other way is to merge a vote repeatedly with a government confidence vote but in no case to allow that doubts persist on the government not having confidence and support of the majority of deputies in parliament,” she stated.
The prime minister said that the leader of the Ordinary People faction Igor Matovic and his three mates who remain for now members of the SaS deputy club have declared support to the coalition. They also voted for the government program statement. “If another step is taken, I mentioned at least two solutions, which are at disposal,” she said.
The prime minister was reluctant to say whether she plans to sign an annex to the Coalition Treaty with Matovic’s people before their leader establishes his own party. “For now they are deputies of the SaS club and therefore I do not see a reason for further steps at the moment. We have negotiated about the procedure, we have agreed on how we will continue,” said the prime minister. Radicova is prepared to initiate the confidence vote at the moment when doubts of some of the deputies will threaten an important bill.
