BRATISLAVA, February 15, (WEBNOVINY) – The number of employed people in Slovakia in the last quarter of last year reached 2.207 million. According to the Statistics Office’s flash estimate, employment grew 0.9 percent in Q4 2011 on the previous year. Net of seasonal influences, overall employment in the monitored period grew 1.2 percent in annualized terms and remained unchanged in quarterly terms.
In Q3, 2.216 million employed people were registered in Slovakia. Compared with the same period a year ago, overall employment increased by 1.7 percent. Net of seasonal impacts, overall employment in the third quarter of last year went up 1.8 percent y/y.
