BRATISLAVA, December 23, (WEBNOVINY) — The growth dynamics of industrial producer prices in Slovakia stayed at the same level for the third consecutive month. Based on data released by the Statistics Office of the Slovak Republic, industrial producer prices in November grew at the same pace as in September and October, namely 3.8 percent y/y. The indicator rose by 4.5 percent on average in the January-November period and stagnated in monthly terms.
Industrial producer prices for the domestic market came up by 3.1 percent y/y. Prices of mining and extraction of mineral raw materials increased 7.9 percent, prices of water distribution, wastewater drainage and treatment and related services 4.4 percent, prices of industrial manufacturing 3.6 percent and supplies of electricity, gas, steam and cool air went up 2.2 percent. Industrial producer prices for the domestic market rose by 2.7 percent on average in the ten-month period and by 0.2 percent in monthly terms.
Export prices came up by 4.3 percent y/y in the eleventh month of this year. Prices of mining and extraction were 12.3 percent higher. The Statistics Office further reported increases in prices of industrial manufacturing (+4.3 percent) and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and cool air (+1.9 percent). Export prices increased 6.1 percent y/y on average from January to late November. On a monthly basis, the indicator plunged by 0.1 percent.
