BRATISLAVA, February 28, (WEBNOVINY) – Five more Slovak citizens have asked the Slovak Foreign Ministry for help with leaving Libya this weekend. Four of them have already left the country. The ferry Osman Gazi has left the Misuratha harbor at 2 p.m. local time with three Slovaks aboard. The fourth one is already in Slovakia. The ferry is heading to the Turkish port Marmalis; the voyage is scheduled to take 30 to 35 hours. “Two other Slovak citizens, who worked on the railway construction are on board of the Montenegrin ferry Sveti Stefan at the moment. The ferry is still harbored.
Altogether 20 Slovak citizens have been evacuated from Libya; four are still waiting for departure. Approximately thirty Slovak citizens, who have decided not to leave the country, remain in Libya,” MFA spokesman Lubos Schwarzbacher told SITA.
