BRATISLAVA, June 4, (WEBNOVINY) — Independent MP Anna Belousovova will not give up her post chairing the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee. She stated on air of the Slovak Radio in the Saturday Dialogues program that she was granted the post because her party made it to the parliament in last year’s elections. Belousovova highlighted that she had her share of this success because she collected 60,000 preferential votes in the ballot. “They should thank me that they made it to the parliament by a whisker also thanks to me,” she announced. As she added, no one of the SNS asked her to resign from the post.

In the fall of 2010, Belousovova ran for the post of SNS leader at the party congress, but was expelled from the party in February of this year after twenty years of membership. Her new party will be called Nation and Justice (NAS). The petition to collect 10,000 signatures has already started.
