BRATISLAVA, August 13, (WEBNOVINY) – All contracts concluded by government authorities will be disclosed on the Internet before taking effect. „These contracts will become effective only after their publication, so that the public has the possibility of effective control,“ Prime Minister Iveta Radicova said at a press conference. On Friday, the Cabinet submitted to interdepartmental review draft amendments to the Civil Code and to the law on free access to information. „If the disclosure shows that the process was not in order, it will be possible to withdraw from the disclosed contract within ten days,“ according to the Prime Minister.
She further stated that for the future, the possibility will be omitted to sign a contract that does not allow withdrawal from it, or with non-standard penalties for withdrawal from the contract. „So that the situation could not be repeated, which we found at several ministries, when an unfavorable contracts were signed without the possibility to withdraw from them,“ said Radicova. All contracts, without an exception, should be disclosed.
