Radio Expres Tops the Chart of Most Popular Radio Stations

BRATISLAVA, July 12, (WEBNOVINY) — The private Radio Expres continues to be the most listened-to radio station in Slovakia, followed by the public-service Radio Slovensko and private Fun Radio, as show results of the latest survey conducted by the agency MEDIAN SK from March 28 to June 19 of this year on a sample of 3,621 respondents aged 14 to 79. Radio Expres has for long been the most popular radio station according to MEDIAN SK surveys.

In the monitored period, Radio Expres had the largest share on the market of 23.7 percent. Radio Slovensko was next with 17,6 percent and Fun Radio third with 13.5 percent. The market share of Jemne Melodie represented 8.6 percent. Europa 2 ranked fifth with a share of 8.2 percent. Radio Regina came in sixth with 7.9 percent, next was Radio Viva with 5.6 percent. The radio network RADIONET had an 8.6-percent market share. The market share of other radio stations was 6.3 percent.

The total listener rate in the category involving listening to the radio last week, the total listener rate was 91.2 percent. The ranking on the first three spots opens Radio Expres with 31 percent, followed by Radio Slovensko with 26.9 percent and Fun Radio with 24.1 percent. Jemne Melodie was fourth with 16.5 percent and Radio Regina next with 13.4 percent. Radio Europa 2 came in sixth with 13.2 percent. Next was Radio Viva with 9.3 percent.
