BRATISLAVA, October 17, (WEBNOVINY) – Prime Minister Iveta Radicova detests authoritarian way of managing public affairs. “There are various ways how to manage public affairs. One way is an authoritarian, directive, leadership way on edge of democracy and there is a way of leading a dialogue, of certain coordination, intermediating solutions to conflict situations. It is one option with a dilemma,” said the prime minister in an interview for SITA news agency. The second option is covering up problems, not informing versus openness, informing, public control. “I have chosen a complicated combination of openness, leading a dialogue, discussions, listening to objections, reacting to objections. And not the authoritarian, directive way, because I personally resent it very much and refuse to accept it. I have chosen a way of dialogues, discussions, respecting opinions of others, because I think this is what diversity of this world is about,” she emphasized.
Radicova sees her task in the ruling coalition in making sure that all four parties reach an accord. “And so far we have always reached an agreement. So that is my assignment; it is up to me how I moderate a discussion, in order to achieve an agreement. It would be my failure if we did not reach an accord,” she stated.
