BRATISLAVA, August 31, (WEBNOVINY) — Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs Miroslav Lajcak will attend the Strategic Forum in Bled, Slovenia, on Sunday and Monday. Lajcak will speak in the main panel called Europe and the Changing Global Order at this important traditional event, which is a forum for discussions of politicians, diplomats, economists, academics and journalists. He will also contribute to the panel discussion Challenges for the European Union in South-Eastern Europe: The crisis of the euro and the soft power of attraction of the European Union. During two days, discussions in Bled will focus on Europe as well as the Arab revolutions, economic cooperation between Europe and China, and developments in Central Asia and Afghanistan after 2014.
Taking part in this strategic forum among others will be the president of Slovenia, several prime ministers and foreign affairs ministers, mainly from countries of the Western Balkans, senior representatives of the EU and international organizations (OSCE, OECD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and personalities of international economic life. Minister Lajcak will hold bilateral meetings with several partners during the event, the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed SITA news agency.
