BRATISLAVA, November 16, (WEBNOVINY) — Nora Mojsejova, a businesswoman and „media celebrity“ from the city of Kosice who announced recently she would enter politics already has her own political party. She agreed with former media baron and Economy Minister Pavol Rusko (ANO) to take over his political party Alliance for a New Citizen (ANO) that used to be a junior member of the ruling coalition until 2005. This information was confirmed for SITA news agency both by Rusko and Mojsejova. “The only question I was facing with the party was to decide the time when it would be cancelled. As there appeared an opportunity to help somebody, why not,” said Rusko adding that the assistance related to transfer of the party does not mean any support for Mojsejova’s political agenda. The entrepreneur thus will not have to collect 10,000 signatures necessary for registration of a new party.
Mojsejova has already applied for a change of the party’s statutory representative, the seat as well as the name of the party while the Interior Ministry has already registered the changes on Tuesday. “The new name is Free Word Party (SSS) — of Nora Mojsejova,” she revealed. Mojsejova further said she decided for an agreement with Rusko due to the deadline she had for collection of signatures. “We had some twenty days and collected about 9,170 signatures. We would not make it,” she explained.
The new party will compete in early elections in the spring of 2012. The 150-member list of candidates will be led by Mojsejova followed by thirty experts. “No known faces that people do not want to see anymore,” she emphasized. The leader does not want to spend a single cent for an election campaign; she will carry it out only on the Internet. “I will address people on a daily basis using video starting Monday,” she specified her strategy. She chiefly wants to deal with particular problems of the people and does not want to direct her party to the left or right.
Rusko says he did not want any money from Mojsejova for his party. He remarked he himself does not want to return into politics.
